May 30 – June 13, 2026
Portugal has been quietly waiting for you to notice it. While its neighbors Spain and France hog the spotlight, this Atlantic-facing nation has been perfecting the art of the good life — extraordinary food and wine, a 900-year history worn lightly, and scenery that ranges from medieval hilltop villages to wild Atlantic coastlines. The time to go is now, before everyone else figures this out.
A Taste of Portugal is a 15-day small-group journey that takes you from the sun-drenched streets of Lisbon to the faded grandeur of Porto, deep into the vine-terraced Douro Valley, through the Knights Templar stronghold of Tomar, and finally into the cork-oak plains and whitewashed hill towns of the Alentejo. Along the way, you'll ride a local train to a fairy-tale royal palace, taste port wine in the cellars where it's been aging for decades, picnic among vineyards on the banks of the Douro, and stand before megalithic stones older than Stonehenge.
This isn't a bus tour. It's a hand-crafted journey for curious travelers who want to eat well, drink better, and actually understand the places they visit. I'll be with you every step of the way as your guide, driver, translator, and resident enthusiast — with just enough free time built in so you can discover your own Portugal along the way.
Spots are limited – only two seats remaining. Departing May 30, 2026.
